Our Welcome Letter

A Warm Welcome from Our Minister
Reverend Kevin Price.
Minister of Wellspring Church

We are Local Ecumenical Partnership of Methodists and Baptists formed in 2014 and open to those from all church backgroujnds and none.
Our Mission
At Wellspring we want to be a church that is rooted in worship and open to our community. We delight to gather for Sunday worship, to share in prayer and Holy Communion, and to explore the Bible together. We also want our faith to be visible in everyday life – through things like Memory Café, Repair Café, EasyMeals, children’s activities and our partnership with other churches and community groups in Wirksworth, social justice issues and creation care.
FAQs
We understand that visiting a church or getting involved in a new community can raise questions.
Our main service is at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday. The style and content vary from week to week, with services led by our minister and a team of worship leaders and preachers from Wellspring and the wider Methodist Circuit.
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Some people come in jeans and walking boots, others a bit smarter – there’s no dress code and you won’t be judged.
We sing hymns and songs, pray together, hear readings from the Bible and a short talk, and share news and notices. Once a month we share Holy Communion. After the service there are refreshments and time to chat.
Yes, very much so. Children and babies are welcome to stay in the service, and during the week we have Little Springs, Girls’ & Boys’ Brigade and other activities for children and families.
Our extended and refurbished building has step-free access, a lift to the first floor worship space and accessible toilets. There is also a hearing loop. If there is anything else that would help you, please let us know.
No. You are welcome whether you would describe yourself as a Christian, curious, unsure or just in need of a place to be. You are free to join in as much or as little as you wish.
